Adam Smith

Adam Smith is a Partner and Co-Head of Credit & Markets at Kohlberg Kravis Roberts & Co. (KKR), a leading global investment firm that offers alternative asset management as well as capital markets and insurance solutions. Adam helped build the capital markets business from its beginnings in 2007 and today co-leads a global team of investment professionals, including those who support and advise sponsors and companies on all financing activities associated with achieving corporate goals and growth objectives across debt, equity and structured investment products. He was also a key contributor involved in the structuring and initial formation of one of the first publicly traded private equity vehicles and its subsequent merger with KKR to form KKR as a NYSE-listed company. Mr. Smith holds a B.A. from Duke University and a J.D. from the UCLA School of Law and is a member of the Advisory Board of the Lowell Milken Institute for Business Law and Policy at UCLA School of Law.
