Alberto Castro is an imaging data analyst for the Healthy Brain Network. He completed his Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Engineering at the Universidad Europea de Madrid. Alberto received his Master of Science in Biomedical Innovation and Development from a joint program at the Georgia Institute of Technology and Emory University. In collaboration with the neurointensive care units at both Emory University Hospital and Grady Memorial Hospital, he has been developing a patent-pending device to reduce intracranial pressure after intraventricular hemorrhage.
Alberto has a special interest in software and hardware systems that can improve outcomes for neurological patients. In his current position at the Healthy Brain Network, his responsibilities include ensuring data quality, conducting analyses, and preparing data for data sharing efforts. Through this work, Alberto hopes to augment his knowledge in neuroimaging and data science to one day create and build more efficient neurological tools.
