  • Amanda R. Templeman, PhD, is a post-doctoral fellow in the ADHD and Behavior Disorders Center at the Child Mind Institute. Dr. Templeman has extensive experience in providing evidence-based treatments to children, adolescents and young adults with autism spectrum disorder, ADHD, conduct disorder, learning disabilities, anxiety, depression, and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). She has several years of experience working as a psychotherapist in a range of settings in the greater New York area. She specializes in providing individualized treatment plans to parents, families and other caregivers of youths with attentional and behavioral difficulties.

    Dr. Templeman is committed to working with a multidisciplinary team in order to best meet families’ needs, with special attention to racial, ethnic, socioeconomic and cultural variables. She is skilled in providing psychodiagnostic and neuropsychological assessments to aid in treatment planning for young people with a range of behavioral and developmental disorders. Her research interests include the exploration of parent experiences with behavioral health service systems and best practices within family and professional partnerships that lead to optimal patient outcomes. She has presented her work at a number of national conferences.
