Anthony Mekhanik is a Data Analyst for the Center of the Developing Brain at the Child Mind Institute. He attended the NYU Tandon School of Engineering where he graduated simultaneously with his BS and MS degrees in Electrical Engineering. Using various signal processing analytics, his research at NYU focused on the design and implementation of a prototype for a medical device that performs tissue classification using electrical impedance tomography, specifically for tumor visualization in breast and skin cancer. At the Child Mind Institute, he is responsible for analyzing multimodal MRI data and performing pattern recognition analyses to help mental health diagnosis and prognosis.
