Ariel Zucker, PhD, is an associate psychologist in the Autism Center at the Child Mind Institute. Dr. Zucker specializes in evaluating and treating toddlers, children, and adolescents with neurodevelopmental and behavioral disorders, including autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and co-occurring disorders. She also has experience working with children and adults with a wide range of psychiatric disorders and psychosocial stressors.

Dr. Zucker has extensive training in conducting ASD evaluations and broader neuropsychological evaluations for children with developmental and psychiatric presentations. She has provided individual, family, and group therapy in a variety of interdisciplinary teams, including hospitals, outpatient clinics, developmental pediatric departments, schools, therapeutic summer camps, and psychiatric emergency departments.

Dr. Zucker takes a strengths-based approach to treatment and considers collaboration with parents and schools to be an important part of care. She has been extensively trained in various evidence-based treatments and flexibly integrates cognitive behavioral, parent training, and family systems approaches to best meet the needs of children and their families. Dr. Zucker’s approach is warm, sincere, and collaborative, with the goal of helping children and their families make enduring change.
