Ayal Goldberg

Ayal Goldberg is a clinical extern in the ADHD and Behavior Disorders Center at the Child Mind Institute. He is a rising third-year doctoral student in the Combined School and Clinical Psychology program at Kean University. Mr. Goldberg is skilled in providing evidence-based treatments to children, adolescents and adults with a wide range of struggles and disorders, including ADHD, anxiety disorders, autism spectrum disorders, mood disorders and post-traumatic stress disorder. His prior treatment work has included behavioral management, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), parent management training (PMT), mindfulness-based techniques and social skills interventions.

Mr. Goldberg has provided individual and group treatment in clinical and school settings. He was previously a school psychology extern at Montclair High School in New Jersey, providing assessment and individual and group treatment. Prior to graduate school, Mr. Goldberg was a special education paraprofessional at The Lang School in Manhattan, a specialized setting for twice-exceptional students. He was also a part of the NYU Child Study Center’s Summer Program for Kids, an ADHD summer treatment program, first as a counselor and then as a lead counselor in charge of a group of children and staff. His current research projects examine disciplinary practices in preschools and kindergartens.
