Batya Septimus is the Research Operations Coordinator for the Healthy Brain Network. Her work focuses on streamlining the project’s internal research and administrative processes.  Ms. Septimus joins CMI from the Center for Ethnic, Racial, and Religious Understanding, a diversity training and education center on the Queens College Campus. There, she held various positions including Director of Dialogue and Social Change Fellowships, where she developed and directed two student leadership training programs. Ms. Septimus has designed and taught workshops on group facilitation, managing difficult conversations, diversity challenges, and social identity. She has also assisted in research on the mental health challenges of boys in East Jerusalem, helping boys of color succeed in schools, and the impact of experiential learning in the classroom. She received her bachelor’s degree in English and Middle East Studies from Queens College.
