Eleanor Chatburn, DClinPsy, is a research clinical psychologist for the Stavros Niarchos Foundation (SNF) Global Center for Child and Adolescent Mental Health at the Child Mind Institute. Dr. Chatburn works collaboratively with young people, communities, and local partners in South Africa, Brazil, and Greece to develop, test, and implement scalable, evidence-informed psychosocial treatments in community settings.

Dr. Chatburn’s research has been published in leading scientific peer-reviewed journals, including Journal of the American Association of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, BMJ Mental Health, and Child and Adolescent Mental Health. She has held several clinical and research posts; at the English National Health Service, she specialized in supporting children and adolescents with a wide range of mental health challenges in both community and inpatient settings. She also has held academic appointments at research-intensive higher education institutions in the UK, including the University of Bath and the University of Oxford.

At the SNF Global Center, Dr. Chatburn is working on several projects, including a systematic review mapping the landscape of psychosocial interventions in South Africa, and is particularly interested in implementation through school settings in low- and middle-income countries.
