Social Work Intern, Healthy Brain Network
Child Mind Institute
Eliza is a social work intern with the Healthy Brain Network. In her role, Eliza assists with data collection, conducting psychosocial assessments and report writing.
Eliza has always had a passion for promoting positive mental health, especially among children and adolescents. She earned her bachelor’s degree in psychology from Bucknell University and is currently working toward her master’s degree in social work at NYU’s Silver School of Social Work.
Eliza has a background working in schools, primarily with children in special education programs. During her undergraduate studies, she worked as a teacher’s assistant at a low-income school in rural Pennsylvania where she supported students’ needs and promoted positive social interactions. Most recently, she worked at Yachad’s IVDU Upper Girls’ School, a high school for girls with social, intellectual and learning disabilities. In this role, she provided individual counseling and ran social skills groups. At the Child Mind Institute, Eliza hopes to be a source of support for children and families struggling with mental health issues.
