Germeen Kilada is a Research Assistant on the Healthy Brain Network team at the Child Mind Institute. She is a graduate of Cornell University with a bachelor’s in psychology. As an undergraduate, the was heavily involved in counseling and clinical experience, engaging in peer and community crisis counseling in the city of Ithaca through the EARS counseling service within Cornell. In addition to volunteering at EARS, she also participated in a year-long clinical psychology practicum, applying learned models and techniques of child therapy with local elementary school children living with trauma and various mental health disorders. At the Healthy Brain Network, she guides participating families through the study, performing research protocol tasks, collecting data, as well as administering and scoring assessments. In the coming years, she hopes to pursue a doctoral degree in child clinical psychology in order to provide help to families and children throughout their development.
