Participant Navigator, Healthy Brain Network

Germeen Kilada is a participant navigator for the Healthy Brain Network at the Child Mind Institute. Germeen recently graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in psychology from Cornell University. As an undergraduate, she was heavily involved in counseling and clinical practice, engaging in peer and community crisis counseling in the city of Ithaca. In addition to that, she participated in a clinical psychology practicum, applying models and techniques of child therapy with local elementary school children living with trauma and various mental health disorders. Germeen’s interests lie in developmental, learning and mental health disorders in children. In her role at the Healthy Brain Network, she is responsible for assisting with research tasks as well as coordinating between participants and the research team to ensure a positive, valuable experience for all participating families. In the coming years, she hopes to pursue a doctoral degree in order to become a therapist who empowers people through the use of individualized psychological skills and techniques.
