Grace McAlindin is a Participant Navigator for the Healthy Brain Network. As an undergraduate at James Madison University she conducted a research study measuring student stress levels based on their positive and negative coping mechanisms. She also conducted a campus-wide health communication campaign to raise awareness around “red flags” in relationships..As a public health advocate Ms. McAlindin hopes to eliminate the stigma on mental health disorders in order to encourage more people to seek treatment. She is also interested in utilizing early intervention strategies to aid psychological and learning disorders and hopes to further research on the matter.
