Jake Son

Jake Son is a research assistant with the Center for the Developing Brain, where he contributes to research studies including applying machine learning to mental health assessments, eye-tracking analysis in selective mutism, and bibliometric analyses for openly-shared datasets.

Jake graduated from Duke University with a bachelor’s degree in biomedical engineering and a minor in chemistry. He has previously researched the effects of early withdrawals of antiepileptic drugs and was actively involved with on-campus gender violence prevention and social entrepreneurship.
