Jeffrey Chapman

Vice President of Marketing and Communications
Child Mind Institute

Jeff Chapman is Vice President of Marketing and Communications at the Child Mind Institute. He is responsible for leading the digital, editorial, design, public relations and marketing teams.

Prior to joining the Child Mind Institute, Jeff ran Chapman Brand LLC, a consultancy specializing in brand strategy and its expression through positioning, identity, portfolio/messaging architecture and creative execution. Clients ranged from Johnson & Johnson and Intuitive Surgical to Gil-Bar Industries (HVAC sales) and Kashwere (Oprah’s favorite blankets).

Before that, he spent 11 years at Edgewell Personal Care in charge of Global Brand Communications for brands including Schick and Wilkinson Sword, Banana Boat and Hawaiian Tropic sunscreens, Playtex feminine care products, and more.

His career began at Leo Burnett, Y&R and J. Walter Thompson, working on businesses including Colgate-Palmolive, Hallmark, Pillsbury, Kraft and United Airlines. His teams have won six Effie Awards for Marketing Effectiveness.

Jeff has a Master of Business Administration degree from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University. His bachelor’s degree (in biology) is from Harvard University, where he spent at least as much time working as a writer, artist and editor for the Harvard Lampoon. So he has a sense of humor, but tries to keep it under wraps for personal bios. In his spare time, Jeff is a landscape photographer who writes self-published speculative fiction novels.
