
Jessica Levy, MS
Jessica Levy, MS, is a psychology extern in the Anxiety Disorders Center at the Child Mind Institute. She is a fourth-year doctoral candidate in the school psychology program at St. John’s University, where she has received her master’s degree in school psychology. Jessica has experience providing evidence-based treatments to children, adolescents, and young adults with anxiety disorders, ADHD, oppositional defiant disorder, and cognitive and language-based learning disabilities.
Jessica has received training in cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), rational emotive behavior therapy (REBT), parent management training (PMT), and parent-child interaction therapy adapted for selective mutism. She has experience providing individual, family, and group therapy in diverse settings, including schools and community mental health clinics.
She has also provided treatment of selective mutism to children through the Brave Buddies intensive selective mutism program, where she served as a counselor for three summers.
Jessica previously held a school psychology externship position at Saddle Rock Elementary School in the Great Neck Public School District, where she delivered individual counseling, group social skills counseling, teacher and parent consultation, and assessment. She has also served as a student clinician at the St. John’s Center for Psychological Services, providing therapy and assessment. Jessica’s doctoral research focuses on developing and validating a clinical assessment tool to be used in REBT treatment.
