
Karley Gabriel, MS
Karley Gabriel, MS, is a clinical extern in the Anxiety Disorders Center at the Child Mind Institute. Karley is a certified school psychologist who is completing her PsyD at Hofstra University. She has experience treating social anxiety, generalized anxiety, post-traumatic stress disorder, autism, and ADHD, as well as developmental disabilities such as cerebral palsy.
Karley has been trained in various evidence-based treatments, including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and dialectical behavior therapy (DBT). Karley has worked as a school psychologist for children with developmental disabilities and provided behavior intervention and parent counseling. In order to best assist young people, Karley utilizes a person-centered, strengths-based approach and works collaboratively with families, schools, and community-based programs.
Prior to joining the Child Mind Institute, Karley worked at the Cornerstone Program at SUNY Purchase to coach college students with autism, and she has also worked as a psychologist trainee for Nassau County Family Court and the Child & Family Trauma Institute at Hofstra University. Karley is passionate about helping children and adolescents who struggle with mental health and/or have developmental disabilities, and she advocates for more inclusive spaces for them.
