Kate Hirsch is a social work intern with the Healthy Brain Network. She earned her bachelor’s degree in psychology at Elon University, and is currently working toward her master’s degree in social work at New York University. After graduating from Elon University, Kate spent the year working as a Program Assistant at the Child Mind Institute in the Anxiety Disorders Center and the ADHD and Behavior Disorders Center, where she primarily assisted with both Parent-Child Interaction Therapy and selective mutism treatment sessions.
Kate has spent several summers working at a sleepaway camp as both a counselor and a Divisional Leader of girls between first and sixth grade. In her leadership role, Kate utilized her academic and professional background to support campers experiencing anxiety and panic attacks due to COVID-19. At the Healthy Brain Network, Kate hopes to continue advocating for children’s mental health.
