MRI Participant Navigator, Healthy Brain Network

Kristen Schiavo is an MRI Participant Navigator for the Healthy Brain Network, where she manages scan preparation and data collection and creates a positive study experience for participants. She graduated from Skidmore College with a Bachelor of Arts degree in psychology. While at Skidmore, Kristen lead a positive psychology lab that studied the well-being of college students. She has studied both the research and clinical sides of the cognitive development of children as a mental health intern for children with autism spectrum disorder and as a research assistant for the Rutgers Cognitive Development Lab.

Kristen’s research interests include cognitive development and the mental health of children. She has a passion for working with children and a strong interest in early intervention for developmental and psychological disorders. Kristen is excited to gain valuable research and clinical experience at the Child Mind Institute before pursuing a doctorate program in clinical psychology.
