Laura Miller is a research assistant for the Healthy Brain Network. In her role she assists with enrolling participants and administering scoring assessments. She graduated from Marist College with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology with summa cum laude honors. During her time there she conducted an independent study in which she examined the effects of suppression strategies on intrusive thoughts, anxiety, autonomic arousal and pain perception. Laura also worked in the Alcohol Research Lab at Syracuse University, and gained clinical experience working at a drug rehabilitation center and a victims of violence services center. Laura is interested in anxiety across the lifespan, and intends to pursue a doctoral degree in clinical psychology.
