Rowen Gesue
Rowen Gesue is a neurobehavioral analyst in the Autism Center at the Child Mind Institute. She graduated from Princeton University with a degree in neuroscience and minors in cognitive science and linguistics.
During her time at Princeton, Rowen worked as an undergraduate research assistant at the Brain Development Lab. She was involved in multiple studies on structural brain development, including one analyzing the development of the cerebellum and neocortex in individuals with autism. She also worked as an undergraduate course assistant in the Princeton Neuroscience Institute, where she helped teach undergraduate students basic neuroscience research approaches. And for her senior thesis, Rowen conducted a study investigating the functional connectivity between the motor cortex and classical language regions in the brains of people learning American Sign Language (ASL).
In her position at the Child Mind Institute, Rowen aids in the collection and analysis of behavioral and brain imaging data under the guidance of Dr. Adriana Di Martino. Rowen is excited to further her knowledge of autism and related disorders, and she plans to pursue a doctoral degree in cognitive neuroscience in the future.
