Samantha Birkenholz, Behavioral Technician

Samantha Birkenholz is a behavioral technician in the Anxiety and Mood Disorders Center at the Child Mind Institute. Ms. Birkenholz provides individual exposure therapy to children and adolescents in the Intensive OCD Program.

Prior to joining the Child Mind Institute, Ms. Birkenholz coordinated the Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT) team at the NYU Child Study Center and was trained in PCIT methods by the supervising clinicians. Additionally, she was an Education Counselor at the NYU Child Study Center’s Summer Program for Kids, where she received intensive training in behavioral modification techniques and Nonviolent Crisis Intervention.

Ms. Birkenholz is passionate about helping children and adolescents struggling with mental health disorders. Through her work in this field, she is dedicated to providing evidence-based interventions to children and adolescents where and when they need it most.
