Zexi Wang

Zexi Wang, MPhil, MS

Zexi Wang is a research engineer with the Center for the Developing Brain. Working under the direction of Dr. Ting Xu at the Child Mind Institute, she will apply her engineering and computational skills to the analysis and modeling of both animal and human neuroimaging datasets.

Zexi completed her Bachelor of Science in Bioengineering at Huazhong Agricultural University in Wuhan, China. She received her Master of Science and Master of Philosophy in Biomedical Engineering from Columbia University. While attending Columbia, Zexi conducted bone research involving the application of medical imaging for bone microstructural and mineral analyses, aiming to improve bone quality and decrease fracture risk.

Zexi’s experience with imaging analyses and strong interest in neuroscience lead her to the Child Mind Institute. Here she aspires to increase her understanding of brain research and contribute to the knowledge of the developing brain. In the future, Zexi hopes to pursue an advanced degree in Clinical Psychology.
