Senior director Jill Emanuele, PhD, leads the Mood Disorders Center and a compassionate staff employing proven treatments for child and adolescent depression, borderline personality disorder, bipolar disorder and other serious but treatable mental health disorders. The Center’s goal is that all patients learn to understand themselves better and to manage their emotions and thrive.
Parents usually know that something is wrong, but aren’t sure what it is. Leaving these disorders untreated can lead to unnecessary suffering and lifelong mental health struggles. If you suspect that your child may be depressed or having difficulties managing his emotions, it is important to get an evaluation by a clinician who is experienced in treating these disorders. Early detection and appropriate treatment can lead to a better prognosis.
Our donor community is vital to launching new clinical programs that reach children and families who haven’t found success elsewhere, or who have limited access to care. Consider supporting the Child Mind Institute as we strive to deliver the best clinical care to all who need it.
