Intensive Academic Treatment

About the Program

The Child Mind Institute offers intensive, individualized academic interventions for students struggling to meet learning benchmarks due to mental health and learning disorders. Our educational specialists and speech language pathologists build tailored interventions for each student to help with reading, writing, math challenges, communication skills, and more. Instructional sessions can be scheduled throughout the school year, during school breaks or during summer months to reinforce stills or make progress. If you would like more information about our 2024 summer tutoring, please fill out our interest form.

Instruction will be provided by educational specialists with extensive experience in evidence-based methodologies and expertise in teaching students a wide range of learning challenges. Our learning and development team will begin with an intake session with caregivers and an assessment session with the student to evaluate student academic skills. After the intake is conducted, our clinicians will make a recommendation for the focus of treatment and the time necessary to accomplish the determined goals. The amount of time per day and number of sessions per week recommended will vary based on the student’s needs and summer schedules. Clinicians will conduct a post-intervention testing session. Testing results and progress will be shared with the family.
