Overview

The LEGO® Therapy Social Skills Group, offered through the Autism Clinical Center, is a 6-week evidence-based group therapy program designed to help elementary children with social communication and social skills difficulties. During each group session, children practice turn-taking and sharing, following rules, problem-solving, and collaboration through LEGO-based activities.

Additional Information

A free pre-screening with an assessment for group readiness will occur before admission to the group is confirmed. Children will be split into groups by age with a minimum of 5 participants per age group required. The groups will be capped at 6 participants per age group.

Eligibility

Children ages 7 to 12 who have social communication or behavioral challenges, including those with autism spectrum disorder, ADHD, or social pragmatic communication disorder.

What is the cancellation policy?

If a child cannot attend and we are notified at least 7 days prior to the start date of the program we will issue a refund, excluding a $300 non-refundable deposit for administrative fees. At the time of registration full payment is required to reserve a space. If less than 7 days notification is given, no refund will be provided.

Can children outside of the New York metropolitan area join the program?

Yes. We welcome children and families from across the country and around the world. Our website has more information on how to get here and our recommended hotels close by our office.
