This year’s Fall Luncheon featured NBC Bay Area anchor Raj Mathai who led an insightful discussion with bestselling author Dr. Daniel Siegel and Dr. Andrea Pascarelli, senior clinical psychologist of the Anxiety Disorders Center at the Child Mind Institute on how present parenting can help kids build resilience and grow into happier, more independent adults.

All funds raised support the Child Mind Institute’s efforts to improve mental health care for children and families through clinical care, research and public education.

$15,000 – Leader

Provides financial aid for three children to receive a full course of treatment at the Child Mind Institute.

$10,000 – Supporter

Funds comprehensive mental health and learning evaluations for two children through the Healthy Brain Network study.

$5,000 – Friend

Trains two educators on our mental health skill-building curriculum, helping them support up to 50 students per year.

$1,000 – Leader

Supports the development of children’s mental health resources for educators and families, available for free in English and Spanish on childmind.org.

$500 – Supporter

Goes toward one child’s participation in our Social Anxiety Groups, where they learn coping skills to manage anxiety and practice interacting in a group setting.

$300 – Friend

Allows six teachers to participate in an educator stress management workshop.
