Support for Struggling Students

October 5, 2021

For kids who are struggling, the start of a new school year brings a mix of hope and anxiety. Some will have fallen behind during the pandemic; some will have trouble meeting expectations for behavior now that everyone’s back in the classroom.

This week we offer resources on childmind.org to help students thrive despite mental health or learning challenges. We take an in-depth look at Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPS), which are a powerful tool for understanding what drives behavior problems and helping children make positive changes. And we talk to experts about how to identify learning disorders, anxiety and attention problems in the classroom.
