Many children have difficulty with intense emotions. Tantrums, outbursts, and fighting are all behaviors you see when kids experience powerful feelings they can’t control. The good news is that learning to calm down instead of acting out is a skill that can be taught.

To help teach kids these skills, our Emotion Detectives Group is a supportive and fun group program focused on emotional awareness and practical strategies for coping with uncomfortable emotions. We are currently offering sessions for children ages 8-12 in both our New York and San Mateo offices.

If you are concerned about your child, please don’t hesitate to reach out to us today.

Here’s how you can help bolster their self-esteem and help them feel more positive.

Three fundamental areas where neurodivergent students tend to need help are behavioral issues, social challenges, and executive functioning.
