(Oct. 14, 2016) Robert Reiner, PhD, and Heather Davidson, PsyD, from Behavioral Associates spoke to 30 staff about the uses of virtual reality and neurofeedback technology in treating mental illness. Dr. Reiner discussed how virtual reality can help with anxiety and phobias. Dr. Davidson presented on how neurofeedback systems reinforce a patient’s brain to become “calm” and noted that this treatment is a useful supplement to therapy for patients with ADHD, anxiety and OCD.
