Anne Claire Grammer, PhD
Anne Claire Grammer, PhD, is a psychologist in the Anxiety Disorders Center and Mood Disorders Center at the Child Mind Institute. She specializes in supporting youth and their families who experience anxiety disorders, eating disorders, depression, obsessive-compulsive disorder, and general behavioral concerns.
Dr. Grammer has received extensive training in evidence-based treatments for anxiety, eating, and mood-related issues. She provides cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) for anxiety disorders and depression, and exposure and response prevention (ERP) for obsessive-compulsive disorder. Additionally, Dr. Grammer is certified in family-based treatment (FBT) for anorexia, bulimia, and avoidant restrictive food intake disorder (ARFID). She has provided therapeutic services to children, adolescents, and young adults across levels of care, including outpatient and inpatient psychiatric settings. She is committed to providing the highest level of care by collaborating closely with families and tailoring evidence-based interventions to best meet the needs of patients.
In addition to providing direct clinical care, Dr. Grammer is committed to the training and supervision of mental health professionals. As a clinical supervisor at the Child Mind Institute and an adjunct clinical assistant professor at Stanford School of Medicine, she supports the training of doctoral-level clinicians. Dr. Grammer is also passionate about communicating psychological science to patients and their families. She has published more than 25 research papers on youth mental health in peer-reviewed journals and has received support from the National Institutes of Health, American Psychological Association, and Association for Psychological Science.
