Arthur G. Altschul Jr.

Arthur G. Altschul Jr. has been deeply involved with the board of the Child Mind Institute since 2011. He brings more than 35 years of experience across asset management, investment banking, and entrepreneurship in the biotechnology field. He is the chairman and CEO of Overbrook Management Corp., an asset management firm/multi-family office, and he serves as vice chair and treasurer of The Overbrook Foundation. Mr. Altschul also serves on the board of directors of General American Investors, a publicly traded closed-end investment company with a long history dating back to 1927. He previously co-founded and served as executive chairman of Kolltan Pharmaceuticals, a privately held biopharmaceutical company focused on cancer research and drug development, until its acquisition. Earlier in his career, he held roles at Goldman Sachs; the Maximus Fund, LP; and Morgan Stanley. Past board roles have included the Neurosciences Research Foundation and National Public Radio Foundation. Mr. Altschul holds a BS in computer science from Columbia University.
