Ashley Gonzalez, LMSW

Clinical Social Worker, School and Community Programs
Child Mind Institute

Ashley Gonzalez, LMSW, is a clinical social worker in the School and Community Programs at the Child Mind Institute. She has experience providing evidence-based care to children, adolescents, and families in both school-based and outpatient settings. She has worked extensively with Latinx youth in Boston, offering bilingual therapy in English and Spanish and delivering interventions such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and trauma-focused CBT (TF-CBT).

During her graduate training, Gonzalez worked with the social work team at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute. There, she served as a clinical specialist, connecting patients and families to essential resources. She also completed an internship in the Pediatrics Department at Dimock Community Health Center, where she provided individual therapy sessions in both English and Spanish. She was also part of a program committed to advancing culturally and linguistically appropriate mental health services for Latinx communities. Additionally, Gonzalez has worked with Boston public schools, delivering social-emotional support to high school students in Roxbury.

Gonzalez is committed to practicing through an anti-racist and anti-oppressive lens —integrating cultural humility, language access, and client empowerment into her clinical work. She is passionate about increasing access to mental health care for underserved communities. And she is dedicated to supporting young people and families through a strengths-based and trauma-informed approach.
