Bosi Chen, PhD
Contact
Bosi Chen, PhD, is a research scientist and clinical psychologist in the Autism Center at the Child Mind Institute. Her research focuses on identifying early brain markers of autism spectrum disorder (ASD) before behavioral symptoms emerge and understanding the prenatal and postnatal factors that shape neurodevelopmental trajectories. By integrating advanced neuroimaging with behavioral assessments, Dr. Chen’s work aims to uncover the neurobiological mechanisms that will eventually be able to inform early recognition and guide evidence-based intervention.
In addition to her research, Dr. Chen provides clinical service specializing in the diagnostic evaluation and care of complex presentations of ASD and co-occurring conditions. She is trained in comprehensive neuropsychological and developmental assessment, as well as evidence-based interventions including cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), social skills training such as the Program for the Education and Enrichment of Relational Skills (PEERS®) for adolescents and preschoolers, and parent management training such as the Research Units in Behavioral Intervention (RUBI).
Before joining the Child Mind Institute, Dr. Chen completed a postdoctoral fellowship at New York University Langone Health, where she expanded her research to fetal and infant brain imaging, maternal health biomarkers, and longitudinal pregnancy cohort research.
