Cathy is The Paul Professor of Developmental Child Psychology at the University of Oxford and Director of the Oxford Centre of Emerging Minds which is a new research centre focused on research that contributes to creating environments in which children and young people can thrive, and where if mental health problems do emerge they are identified early and addressed effectively. She is also an Honorary Consultant Clinical Psychologist in Oxford Health NHS Foundation Trust, an NIHR Senior Investigator and a Fellow of the Academy of Medical Sciences. Her research particularly focuses on the development, maintenance, and treatment of anxiety disorders in children.
