David LoBue, MSc, is a senior machine learning engineer in the Center for Data Analytics Innovation, and Rigor (DAIR) at the Child Mind Institute. He completed a bachelor’s degree in philosophy at the College of the Holy Cross, a master’s degree in marketing science and research at Grenoble Ecole de Management in France, and a master’s degree in data science and artificial intelligence (AI) at Northwestern University.
LoBue has experience in market research, satellite communications/IT, financial services, private consulting, as well as working on diverse data science problems and applications. He has previously worked at Kantar Media, GE, and Synchrony Financial in roles ranging from research associate to VP of digital analytics. In these roles, he provided deep exposure to various analytic challenges and the full range of the solution/product development process from prototype to production.
In his current role at the DAIR Center, LoBue develops machine learning solutions for various research and product integrations. He supports initiatives in natural language processing, LLMs, and on-device sensor modeling. His experience with large language models (LLMs), machine learning (ML), and generative AI applications drives products that have beneficial outcomes for families and communities.
Motivated by a passion for distilling complex data into impactful applications, LoBue is always exploring the development boundaries of new and innovative AI/ML products.
