Ilana Gratch, PhD
Ilana Gratch, PhD, is a clinical psychologist and postdoctoral fellow in the Department of Psychiatry at Weill Cornell Medicine. She will be speaking at the 2025 On the Shoulders of Giants Scientific Symposium.
Dr. Gratch received her BA in psychology from Middlebury College and her PhD in clinical psychology from Teachers College, Columbia University. Her graduate research, conducted under the mentorship of Dr. Christine Cha, focused broadly on the assessment of suicidal thoughts and behaviors across the lifespan. Her work has been funded by the National Institute of Mental Health (NIMH), the American Psychological Foundation, and Columbia University. In her current research, Dr. Gratch uses machine learning-based tools to characterize nonverbal behaviors in dyadic contexts, including suicide assessments and mother-infant interactions.
