Joseph P. Healey
Joseph P. Healey has served on the board of the Child Mind Institute since 2011 and formerly served as co-chair. Currently he is CIO of the HealthCor Family Office, an investment advisory firm. From 2005 to 2022, he was a founding partner of HealthCor Management L.P. hedge fund and HealthCor Partners Management L.P. private equity fund, a leading healthcare investment firm with over $4 billion in assets. Previously, he held portfolio manager roles at SAC Capital Advisors, Kingdon Capital Management, and the Dreyfus Corporation. From 1988 to 1992, Healey served as a first lieutenant in the U.S. Army Medical Service Corps at Walter Reed Army Medical Center. He is a trustee of Brown University, where he is a member of the budget and finance committee and the endowment investment committee. Healey also is on the board of advisors at Boston University School of Engineering. In addition, he is a former co-campaign chairman for Friends Seminary in New York City and is involved in several other philanthropic interests. Healy earned a BS in biomedical engineering from Boston University and an MS in technology management from the University of Maryland. Healey is also a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA). He and his wife, Elaine, have two children.
