Megan Ice, PhD
Contact
Megan Ice, PhD, is a psychologist in the Mood Disorders Center at the Child Mind Institute. Her professional experience centers on treating youth with complex psychiatric needs through individual therapy, group therapy, family therapy, and assessment.
Dr. Ice has treated many children and adolescents with multiple diagnoses — including anxiety, mood, and trauma-related disorders — and specializes in working with youth who have been adopted, families with multiple children with mental health needs, and youth who have historically had difficulty engaging in treatment. She prioritizes transparent case formulation and collaborative treatment planning and adapts treatment to patients’ needs with creativity, flexibility, and reflection.
Dr. Ice has received specialized training in cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), including trauma-focused cognitive behavioral therapy (TF-CBT) and cognitive behavioral therapy for suicide prevention (CBT-SP), parent management training (PMT), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), motivational interviewing (MI), and dialectical behavior therapy (DBT). Having worked with many children and adolescents who presented with acute safety concerns, she supports individuals and their families calmly through risk assessments, safety planning, and navigating varying levels of treatment.
