Sahana Moodabagil, PsyD, is the assistant director of the ADHD Summer Program and a psychologist in the ADHD and Behavior Disorders Center at the Child Mind Institute. She also provides support for the ADHD After-School Program. Dr. Moodabagil has experience with evaluating and treating young children and adolescents with ADHD, ODD, anxiety, trauma, and disruptive behavior disorders. She has received extensive training in behavioral treatments and earned her certification in parent-child interaction therapy (PCIT).

Dr. Moodabagil has provided comprehensive psychological evaluations, as well as individual, family, and group therapy to children and adolescents in inpatient and outpatient treatment facilities. In talk-, play-, and activity-based therapy sessions, she uses creativity, compassion, and humor to support children and families.

Dr. Moodabagil believes that early intervention and real-time strategy implementation can have a critical impact on toddlers, children, and their families. She is passionate about providing live coaching to practice strategies in real time to strengthen the parent-child relationship, as well as decrease defiance, tantrums, and verbal or physical aggression. Dr. Moodabagil aims to help parents and caregivers strengthen their bond with their children by improving communication, which can be a powerful tool for reducing challenging behaviors.
