Zeina Mneimneh, PhD, MS, MPH
Zeina Mneimneh, PhD, is the managing director of the Global Landscape Mapping program at the SNF-Global Center at the Child Mind Institute. In this role, Dr. Mneimneh is responsible for planning and executing the activities of the program, which include building culturally relevant tools for assessing mental health conditions across childhood and adolescence as well as building research infrastructure and providing sustainable solutions for data collection in low-resource settings.
Dr. Mneimneh is a survey methodologist with over 20 years of experience designing and implementing international research projects related to mental health. Her expertise spans both the academic social sciences and the fast-paced environment of the tech industry. Previously, she led a quantitative research unit at Meta, supporting researchers in survey design and execution across Facebook Research and developing a framework for data integration processes. She also served as director of the International Unit at the University of Michigan’s Survey Research Center and held a research scientist position in its Survey Methodology Program.
Dr. Mneimneh was also the director of the World Mental Health Data Collection Coordinating Center and chair of the Comparative Survey Design and Implementation (CSDI) executive committee. Dr. Mneimneh has published over 70 peer-reviewed articles and book chapters. Her research interests focus on contextual factors influencing survey response processes, data linkage consent protocols, and leveraging paradata and process data to enhance data quality.
