Amira Hanna, PhD, is a member of the Clinical Advisory Council. She is also a clinical neuropsychologist with experience in conducting neuropsychological evaluations with children, adolescents, and young adults.

Dr. Hanna is well-versed in assessing neurodevelopmental and learning disorders, psychiatric disorders, medical disorders (particularly Type1 diabetes), and cognitive and emotional challenges. She also has experience in conducting bilingual evaluations with Arabic-speaking families and focuses on socio-cultural factors that impact cognitive and emotional functioning. Dr. Hanna is currently an adjunct faculty member at NYU Child Study Center, where she focuses on quantitative and qualitative research in the field of pediatric neuropsychology.

In addition to her neuropsychology training, Dr. Hanna has experience working with LGBTQ+ youth, providing gender-affirming therapy and conducting gender evaluations. Her past work experience includes providing psychotherapy to children and young adults with a wide range of diagnoses across inpatient and outpatient clinical settings, utilizing DBT, as well as using both psychodynamic and integrative therapeutic approaches.
