Carolina Costa, MS, is the Brazil country manager at the Child Mind Institute. She has extensive experience in international collaboration, program management, and policy development. Carolina’s career reflects her commitment to impactful collaboration across sectors. She has worked with government agencies, Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs), academia, and private organizations to design and implement evidence-based solutions in education, health, and innovation.

Before joining the Child Mind Institute, Carolina held leadership positions at the São Paulo Research Foundation, where she managed multi-national research collaborations. And as the deputy executive secretary at the Global Research Council, she advanced the international science diplomacy and collaboration agenda amongst science funders globally. She has also contributed to education and early childhood development as a program manager at the Maria Cecília Souto Vidigal Foundation and the Ayrton Senna Institute, NGOs based in Brazil. She has also worked for the British government in Brazil, building partnerships between the UK and Brazil in the areas of science, innovation, and healthcare.

In her position at the Child Mind Institute, Carolina leads initiatives to improve mental health care and education for children and adolescents. She strives to bridge research, public policy, and community engagement in addressing complex societal challenges.
