Emily Wolf, MS
Emily Wolf, MS, is a psychology extern in both the Anxiety Disorders Center and Mood Disorders Center at the Child Mind Institute. She is pursuing her doctoral degree in clinical psychology at the PAU-Stanford PsyD Consortium. Wolf specializes in evidence-based treatments for children, adolescents, and young adults with attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), autism spectrum disorder (ASD), mood and anxiety disorders, and behavior challenges. Her clinical training includes cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), parent-child interaction therapy for selective mutism (PCIT-SM), pivotal response treatment (PRT), and expressive therapy techniques.
Wolf has provided therapy in multiple different settings. At the Stanford DBT Program, she co-leads DBT Skills Groups for transitional-age youth and adults, including a group for LGBTQ+ individuals. She also spent a year at the Stanford Autism Early Intervention Clinic where she administered PRT to young children with ASD to improve motivation and language skills. At the Palo Alto University Community Clinic, Wolf provided therapy for young adults and adults coping with complex trauma, mood and anxiety disorders, and identity development challenges. Additionally, Wolf previously spent two summers at the Child Mind Institute as a counselor for their ADHD Summer Program and Brave Buddies selective mutism camp.
In her role at the Child Mind Institute, Wolf conducts comprehensive evaluations and provides evidence-based treatments to children, adolescents and families presenting with anxiety, mood, and disruptive behavior problems.
Wolf is kind, collaborative, and passionate about providing individuals with specific evidence-based tools to improve their quality of life.
