Gazi F. Azad, PhD, is an assistant professor of clinical medical psychology (in psychiatry) in the Division of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at the Columbia University Medical Center ‘s New York State Psychiatric Institute. She is also a licensed psychologist at the Center for Autism and the Developing Brain at New York Presbyterian Hospital, and a nationally certified school psychologist. Her research focuses on using the principles of implementation science to optimize service delivery across systems of care. Additional areas of expertise include community-partnered research and issues related to diversity, equity, and inclusion in service provision.

Dr. Azad graduated with her bachelor’s in psychology from the University of California, Los Angeles and received her PhD in school psychology from the University of California, Riverside. She completed her predoctoral internship at Columbia University. Her postdoctoral training was conducted in the Center for Mental Health at the University of Pennsylvania.
