Kayla Phillips
Kayla Phillips is the behavior technician for the OCD Intensive Program at the Anxiety Disorder Center of the Child Mind Institute. She specializes in Exposure and Response Prevention therapy (ERP) in the treatment of obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD) under the supervision of the director of the Pediatric OCD Intensive Program.
Previously at the Child Mind Institute, Phillips was an intern supporting children struggling with selective mutism, social anxiety disorder, and autism spectrum disorder. Additionally, she served as a therapeutic counselor in the Brave Buddies Program.
As an undergraduate, Phillips worked with children and adolescents in a therapeutic setting at the Nordoff-Robbins Center for Music Therapy in New York City. She also worked with teachers at the Earth and Sky School, Smith College Center for Early Education, and the Hartsbrook Waldorf School, using a student-centered and holistic approach to learning.
Phillips is deeply committed to the improvement of children’s and adolescent mental health and plans to pursue a master’s in clinical social work.
