Kira Charny

Kira Charny is a research assistant for the Healthy Brain Network team at the Child Mind Institute. She graduated from Boston University with a bachelor’s degree in psychology.

While earning her degree, Kira served as a research assistant at both the Social Development Learning Lab and the Center for Anxiety and Related Disorders Lab. During her senior year, she collaborated closely with Dr. Anthony Rosellini to complete her honors thesis on the intersection of eating disorders and social anxiety in public spaces. More recently, Kira interned with Columbia University’s Global Mental Health Program, where she gained insights into global mental health policy and conducted an in-depth analysis of trauma-informed care models.

In her position at the Child Mind Institute, Kira supports the clinical research team by enrolling participants, managing data entry and collection, and conducting interviews and research activities with study participants. Aspiring to pursue a doctoral degree in clinical psychology, she is deeply committed to providing individuals facing mental health challenges with the resources they need.
