Laura Marshak, PhD
Laura Marshak, Ph.D., is a licensed psychologist with over 20 years of clinical experience. She is also a professor at the Indiana University of Pennsylvania. Her professional experience includes working at the Western Psychiatric Institute and Clinic for 10 years prior to assuming her position at the university. Dr. Marshak works with adults and couples and is experienced at addressing a wide range of problems, including anxiety, depression, self-worth, relationships, and life transitions. In addition, she has expertise in working with parents of children with disabilities on how to live well as a couple when faced with the intensified parenting demands that pose challenges to both couples and individuals. She has written numerous books on aspects of disability; many of these were with Dr. Milton Seligman, who was her mentor. Dr. Marshak is one of the founding partners of North Hills Psychological Services.
