Lauren Hendrix

Lauren Hendrix is a Clinical Science Coordinator at the Child Mind Institute, where she supports Clinical Practice’s research operations and facilitates cross-departmental communication for collaborative projects. She earned her bachelor’s degree in Cognitive Science with a concentration in Cognitive Neuroscience at the University of Pennsylvania.

Her interests include translational research designed to support children’s development, learning and mental health. Her previous experience includes early detection of autism spectrum disorder, memory retraining for children following traumatic brain injury, and neuropsychological assessments of adolescents and adults with neurological disorders (ADHD, Multiple Sclerosis, Stroke, Spinal Cord Injury, etc.). Furthermore, she has extensive knowledge of clinical trials, project coordination, database management, Electronic Health Record systems (e.g., NextGen), and research software/platforms (e.g., REDCap, SPSS, R Studio, E-Prime, Experiment Builder, etc). She enjoys working cross-collaboratively with internal CMI teams and external partners to achieve project goals. Through her work at Child Mind Institute, she aims to deepen her understanding of how research informs clinical care, particularly in developing and evaluating therapeutic interventions and diagnostic assessments for children and families.
