Marybeth Babu, LMSW, is a clinical social worker on the School and Community Programs team at the Child Mind Institute. She completed her master’s degree in social work at New York University. Ms. Babu has clinical experience working with a diverse population of children and young adults from underprivileged communities. As a former caseworker in foster care, Ms. Babu has experience working alongside families, school staff and other organizations to help identify areas of concern and explore ways to promote wellness and stability in the lives of children and adolescents. 

Ms. Babu has used a variety of interventions to help her clients reach their goals. These interventions include cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), crisis intervention, motivational interviewing and psychoeducation as well as both individual and group therapy. Ms. Babu is passionate about collaborating with educators and caregivers to ensure that children’s diverse mental health needs are met.
