Shinwon Park, PhD
Shinwon Park, PhD, is a postdoctoral research fellow in the Autism Center at the Child Mind Institute. Her academic journey began at Ewha Womans University in South Korea, where she completed her undergraduate degree in psychology, followed by a master’s degree in developmental clinical psychology and ultimately a PhD in brain and cognitive sciences.
At the Institute of Basic Science, Center for Neuroimaging Research, under the mentorship of Dr. Seok-Jun Hong, Dr. Park concentrated on mapping the connection between low-level sensory functions and high-order cognitive functions in both typical and atypical development, leveraging functional neuroimaging, imaging transcriptomics, and computational modeling approaches. At the Child Mind Institute under the mentorship of Dr. Adriana Di Martino, Dr. Park continues to explore innovative approaches to gain a deeper understanding of the mechanisms underlying neurodevelopmental conditions such as autism and ADHD across development. Dr. Park aims to bridge the gap between research and practical applications, ultimately making a meaningful impact on the lives of individuals with neurodevelopmental conditions.
