Shulamis Halon
Shulamis Halon is a psychology extern in the ADHD and Behavior Disorders Center at the Child Mind Institute. She is currently pursuing her doctoral degree in the school psychology program at Rutgers University, with a focus on treating children and adolescents with externalizing disorders. Shulamis has a strong background in providing evidence-based treatments to children and adolescents with attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), autism spectrum disorder (ASD), anxiety, social difficulties, behavioral challenges, and trauma-related disorders.
Under the guidance of licensed psychologists, Shulamis has provided individual therapy and group counseling in school and community mental health settings. Through this work, she encouraged open communication between parents, teachers, and clinicians to ensure the generalization of skills across settings. Shulamis has also been trained in administering and interpreting psychoeducational evaluations to provide informed holistic treatment for her clients.
Shulamis is committed to providing comprehensive care to children while supporting their families through the therapeutic process. She believes that early diagnosis and intervention can provide children with the skills needed to self-regulate in various situations throughout their lifespan.
